Hi! just an update on our airgun activities. Five of us tried a field target setup just before the cold weather. We were trying a field target setup to see if we could make it work from the sporting clays stations. It worked out very favorable and we had lot of fun. We will make this another activity for the club. We will start when the weather warms up. The club has given me some money to buy some resettable targets to get a pattern from. I have been busy building these targets. Pic attached. I bought two targets and 2 kite winders with a small amount left to get some angle iron to build more. We have seven being built now and the two bought ones. This will be enough to use one half of the sporting clays stands. If anyone has some 1x1/8 inch angle iron and about a two by 4 foot 5/16 inch plate they would donate. answer on this forum. We could also use someone who could paint the faces to make the targets look more lifelike. Any voluntThese targets are for field target shooting with airguns. Setup in woods. Two targets per station. If you hit the kill zone on target it will fall ,this is a kill and will be one point. You get 2 shots per target but are timed. If you hit the target but not the kill zone you get ) points. FT is shot from a bucket or low stool and with a bipod. bipods cannot be attached to gun. Distances are 10 to 55 yards but we will have one bench rest target at 90 or 100. This will be a bonus target. Kill zones are 3/8 to 1 7/8 inch. but can be placed at any distance. We will tart in the spring. Come join us. I will have an extra gun for someone that might be interested but not wanting to buy a gun before knowing. Any questions, ask on the forum John schardt here is a pic with a little color added
